Vickie Martinez-Tafoya is a very accomplished Santa Clara Pueblo pottery artist. Born into the Pueblo of Santa Clara in 1967, she has been creating pottery since 1983. Vickie specializes in traditional hand-made pottery, particularly well polished and deeply carved black and red pottery. Vickie Martinez-Tafoya was inspired into clay and pottery arts by her mother Barbara Martinez, her grandmother, Flora Naranjo, and by highly-regarded potters, Stella Chavarria and Teresita Naranjo. Vickie Martinez-Tafoya’s pottery pieces are a great value because of their quality and very fair prices.
