Jay Livingston’s religious beliefs play an important role in his life, and are often depicted is his work.  This belt buckle Jay named ‘Water Bird Burst’ is no exception.  The following quote is from a hand-written letter that Jay included with this magnificent piece:    “The water bird signifies blessing and its shape signifies various instruments used in the ceremony.  It’s accompanied by a rug design cut out in the center.  This piece consists of Triple A high grade Black Web Kingman Turquoise cab.  Inlaid with strips of natural coral and Kingman Turquoise embodied by sterling silver.”
