Jennie Trammel Santa Clara Pottery Jar

$3,500

Lovely Red Carved Jennie Trammel Pottery Jar!  With a beautiful classic shape, this pottery piece was likely created in the mid 1980’s, has a VERY nice shine, and quite clean and appealing carvings. An exceptional Santa Clara Pueblo pottery artist, Jennie Trammel (1929 – 2010) did not make very much pottery, and was not known to attend shows or markets, or enter her pieces into competitions.  I am unaware of any awards she earned at all… although the very few pieces of hers that I have seen suggest that she certainly could have won some!  Jennie Trammel was a daughter of famed potter Margaret Tafoya.
