Large Acoma Pottery Plate by Daniel Lucario

Large Acoma Pottery Plate by Daniel Lucario.  Very large pottery plate with visually appealing and intricate design.  Made by Acoma Pueblo pottery artist, Daniel Lucario (son of Rebecca Lucario).  Exceptional work!

Pottery plates are quite difficult to create.  The larger the plate, the more difficult.  Pottery plates must fight with gravity as they dry (as opposed to a jar or vase), and very often crack or completely fall apart before painting or firing.  This piece is HUGE at 12″ in diameter; and beautifully painted, as well.
