Navajo jewelry artist, Al Joe, has been a professional silversmith since the 1970’s. He learned his jewelry-making skills from his uncle, Colbert Joe, and later refined and expanded his jewelry-making skills when he was educated at Northern Arizona University. Everything in and on Al Joe’s fine jewelry is handmade by him alone, a fact of which he is proud. Completely handmade Navajo jewelry with natural, Southwest Turquoise and other high-quality stones. Al Joe and his jewelry have been recognized with numerous awards. Al Joe was even named the IACA (Indian Arts & Crafts Association) ‘Artist of the Year’ twice in one decade (2001 & 2009)!!
