Orvil Jack / Blue Ridge Turquoise Cuff Bracelet by Leonard Nez

GORGEOUS Turquoise Bracelet!  Sterling silver cuff bracelet with rare vibrant blue Turquoise from the Orvil Jack / Blue Ridge Turquoise mine.  An exceptional piece by Native American jewelry artist, Leonard Nez (Navajo).  Awesome stone!

In 1956, Bessie & Orvil Jack claimed the ‘Blue Ridge’ Turquoise Mine in Lander County, NV.  The first turquoise (and rumored to be favorite of Orvil’s) that came out of this mine was a beautiful vibrant blue, often with a spiderweb matrix.  Later, in the early 1980’s, Orvil discovered a vivid lime green turquoise on the claim for which this mine became even more well-known.  The mine became more commonly known as the ‘Orvil Jack’ Turquoise mine.  The Orvil Jack and Blue Ridge mines are one in the same; but people usually associate Orvil Jack Turquoise with that vivid lime green color.
